About
SwipeSimple, a turnkey mobile point-of-sale (mPOS) solution offers 3 main products -- hardware, mobile app, and a web dashboard. This project focuses on the web dashboard.

The web dashboard provides users with sales reports and analytics, manage their inventory, and business account settings.
The objectives
•  Create a visual summary with the most relevant information (and finding out what those are) on the dashboard overview page
•  Design a payment form that enables users to input more information as per industry requirements while ensuring the simplicity that they are used to
•  Design in a way that requires minimal engineering efforts and keeping in line with existing assets
The Scope
Main stakeholder for the entire product lifecycle. Behind the scenes include conducting user research and understanding their goals, analyzing interview responses, refining user journeys, wire framing, iterations, visual execution. Also executed all product marketing initiatives.
The Challenges
•  Users need a dashboard overview page that shows them a broad summary of how their business is doing -- what constitutes relevant information? What's the right amount of information that can be easily consumed?
•  Reworking of current web payment page that hosts a hack and slash form so that the company can launch it as a new product -- how to maintain the simple workflow users are used to while getting more information?
The STRATEGY
User research has shown that the users are mainly concerned with gross sales, refunds and net sales figures, and will like a visual chart of how well their business is doing for a specific time period.

For profit-driving purposes and to prevent churn, the bar chart only shows gross sales, where the figures are always positive. This eliminates the possibility of users viewing any negative sales figures for a given period.

To help users access recent transactions easily, a table of the most recent transactions is included, with the option to view all transactions.
The Outcome
Improved the back office web dashboard by redesigning the landing page/dashboard overview, and a new payment page (Virtual Terminal) that enables users to process payments on the web.
